Parasport week at BUEB
This year, the students of the Budapest University of Economics and Business were able to try out the beauty and challenges of goalball, sitting volleyball and paraswimming. The 3 different sports were presented in a total of 10 courses, which were attended by nearly 200 students during the week. There were two special classes where experts in the respective sports gave presentations.
On Monday, Ferenc Csonka, the president of the Fehérbot Sports Association, held a session about the sport of goalball, where our students first got to know about the lack of sight, and then about the sport itself.
On Tuesday, sitting volleyball took center stage, Gyula Raska, the captain of the sitting volleyball section of the Hungarian Volleyball Association, and her selected players gave a presentation on various aspects of the sport.
Based on the students' feedback, the programs were very useful and everyone had a good time. We would like to thank the Hungarian Volleyball Association, the Fehérbot Sports Association and, of course, the physical trainers of the university for their professional help, which increased the quality of our program series.
