Research areas

  • I devoted my PhD dissertation to the dynamic vs. stative interpretations of the passive voice especially in Russian, but also in English and Hungarian and to some extent in other languages. Since than I have taken an interest in areal questions of the passive voice, in particular the peculiarities of passive structures in Circum-Baltic languages, with special regard to North Russian dialects. The question as to what lexical elements can function as subjects of a sentence pertains thereto.
  • My MBA dissertation is about foreseeable crisis situations and how they could be avoided.
