Introduction
I am a habilitated Associate Professor of Philosophy and a researcher in phenomenology. I have taught at the Budapest University of Economics and Business since 2006, full-time since 2011, and as Associate Professor since 2021. I studied philosophy and aesthetics at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), where I received my PhD in Philosophy in 2014 and my habilitation in 2023. During my doctoral studies, I conducted research at University College Dublin, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and the École Normale Supérieure in Paris.
My research focuses primarily on three interrelated areas: phenomenological metaphysics; the phenomenology of mind and consciousness, with particular emphasis on embodied and minimal forms of consciousness; and environmental ethics and environmental political philosophy from a phenomenological and critical-phenomenological perspective. My work pays particular attention to Edmund Husserl and to the social, political, and ecological applications of phenomenology.
I am the author of three monographs in Hungarian: Context and Phenomenon I (2017), Context and Phenomenon II (2020), and Context and Phenomenon III: The Anatomy of the Absolute and the Idea of Indirect Metaphysics (2025). My articles have appeared in journals including Husserl Studies, Continental Philosophy Review, Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences, Human Studies, Capitalism Nature Socialism, and Studia Phaenomenologica. I have twice received the Bolyai János Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; in 2022 I received the Bolyai János Medal for Excellent Research, and in 2023 the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award of BUEB.
