Introduction

I had my degree in German language and literature from the University of Szeged in 1997. In 1996, I had my first opportunity to teach a specialised language at the BGF as a lecturer. Over the years, I obtained a qualification as a tourist guide, a degree in Portuguese language and literature from ELTE, and a postgraduate degree of Portuguese as a foreign language in Porto. As a freelancer, I have worked as an examiner, and a translator. I have been also teaching Germanf or general and specific purposes (military and IT) and Portuguese in several companies and institutions. I spent eight summers practising tourism and catering and improving my language skills.I studied the Economic Policy of the European Union in Portugal in a specialisation course. I mainly taught Business Languages to students of Commerce and Marketing. On behalf of the BGE Language Examination Centre, I was also involved in the development of examination papers and of examinations. I defended my doctoral dissertation at the PTE Doctoral School of Applied Linguistics in 2016. My academic research focuses on language policy issues (not exclusively Portuguese), and the international and economic relations of the former Portuguese colonial empire. In 2014 I became a member of the Language Examination Accreditation Board and I have been involved in the quality assurance processes of language examination in Hungary as the chair of this professional body since 2015. As the President of the BUEB FCHT Student Research Societies Council. I have been supporting the work of students conducting scientific research since 2023. Since January 2024, I have been actively involved in the work of the Public Education Accreditation and Language Examination Accreditation Department of the Education Office. At the university, I currently teach Business Communication, Research Methodology and German for Business Purposes.
