Introduction

I graduated as a Chartered Environmental Engineer from the University of Pannonia in 2008, where I had already focused on the integrated approach to sustainability during my studies and published on the topic. In 2009, I was given the opportunity to teach sustainability-related subjects as a departmental engineer at the Georgikon Faculty of the University of Pannonia, covering areas that form the foundation of today’s circular economy (including waste management, environmental engineering processes, environmental impact assessment, and environmental protection). In response to the continuous tightening of sustainability regulations, I further expanded my professional expertise and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Quality Engineering from the University of Pannonia in 2012. I subsequently worked in the private sector as an environmental engineer and in the EQS field, gaining experience on Central and Eastern European projects, where I developed a strong understanding of one of the key elements of the circular economy: data processing and reliable forecasting. With the increasing importance of economic considerations and the growing strategic relevance of energy, I further broadened my expertise and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Management (taught in English) from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2024. I have published on several occasions for the private sector, both at conferences and in written publications, highlighting the competitive advantages of integrating engineering and economic perspectives. Since 2026, I have been working as a Senior Lecturer at Budapest Business University, where I am involved in teaching Business Statistics, including seminar-based (practical) sessions.
