According to the Office of Education, there has been an 11% increase in applications to universities and colleges this year. Budapest Business School (BBS) is still the number one choice for those interested in business education, and this year it became the 3rd most popular university in the country after Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) and the University of Debrecen, with at total of 14,377 applicants.
One of the undergraduate programs of BBS (which now has three Faculties in Budapest since September of last year), was chosen as first place designation by 10% more students than in the general admission procedure of 2020.
There has also been a growing interest in English-language programmes and Master’s programmes this year. The number of first-time applicants in the Master’s Programme in Economist in Management and Leadership increased by 125% and in the Master's programme in Business Management by 66% compared to last year.
BBS remains among the ‘Top 10’ most popular undergraduate programmes, based on the first-place choices in the applications data - in Commerce and Marketing, Economics and Management, Tourism and Hospitality, Finance and Accounting, and International Business Economics.
