Moonligh Hike - Hike at Night (Autumn Edition_2024) 

We are organizing the night tour for the sixth time, during which we visit the Buda Mountains as usual. On October 15, 2024, we will discover together the beauties of the autumn forest, nature's nocturnal self.  

With the help of tour guides, this time wrapped in the colors of autumn, we leave the city behind, and after admiring the sunset, we witness how the night takes over the day. We dive into the forest, where silence and darkness await. We can observe all of this from a perspective that we have perhaps never seen before. 

Date: October 15, 2024, 6:30-10:30 p.m 

Location: Buda Mountains 

Meeting point: Normafa Gyermekvasút

Meeting and registration: 18:30, at the meeting point 

Access: by bus number 21 or by car (parking is available on site) 

Type: Walking round trip (We return to where we started.) 

The length of the tour: 8 km 

Expected duration of the tour: approx. 2- 2.5 hours 

Difficulty level: medium 

Elevation: 180 m 

Registration: participation is free, but registration is required 

If you decide to take the plunge, pay attention to the following: 

• Proper, layered clothing. 
• Everyone should have a flashlight/headlamp! 
• Appropriate footwear, such as hiking boots, hiking shoes, but in the worst case, sports shoes with ridged soles. 
• A backpack is recommended. 
• Bring a raincoat, sweater, water, and food. 
• Mobile phone recommended. 
• Everyone participates in the tour at their own risk.
