The Institute of Commerce and Marketing is a special institute at BBS, as it is the only institute responsible for “output”, with two departments operating in two different Faculties (FIMB and FCHT) simultaneously. Both departments work as an independent unit but complement each other as they are in constant professional and organizational co-operation. The Institute has primarily a professional integration and representative function!
As an institution that is organisationally independent of the Faculties but works closely on a professional basis with both of them, the Institute of Commerce and Marketing creates harmony in the work of the departments. The most important task of the Head of the Institute is also to represent and build relationships of the Institute in professional and scholarly public life.
The Institute is able to teach all subjects of the Commerce and Marketing programme in Hungarian, English and German, at the bachelor’s, master's and higher vocational education levels. It has four double degree agreements and operates them all successfully! The academic research work of the Institute is noteworthy not only within the university, but also at the national level.
The BBS Institute of Commerce and Marketing, with a growing number of students, represents almost one third of commerce-marketing training in Hungary.
