The NIBS panel, consisting of Dr Jeffrey Johnson (St Mary's University, Texas, USA) and Dr Mark Crowder (Manchester Metropolitan University, UK), visited BBU earlier this week for re-accreditation.
After completing an extensive self-evaluation of all aspects of the institution’s international activities, BBU senior staff welcomed the NIBS delegation to review the internationalisation of the university since it was first accredited in 2017. Since then, BBU has developed its international activities further and deepened its links with many partners, covering now joint research activities and double degree programmes.
The panel met with representatives of staff administering international mobility and projects, of faculty members involved in international activities, as well as of local and international Bachelor, Masters and doctoral students. The panel was impressed with BBU's results and efforts related to internationalisation, and recommended its re-accreditation to NIBS Board of Directors.
At the end of their visit on November 22, the NIBS re-accreditation team, consisting of Dr Jeffrey Johnson and Dr Mark Crowder, gave very positive feedback on the re-accreditation meetings with staff members and students to Dr Gábor Andrási, Director of International Affairs and Mr Dávid Farkas, representative of the Board of Trustees of BBU.
