The Sports Office of Budapest University of Economics and Business began its operations on August 1, 2021, continuing the work started by the former Physical Education and Sports Center. In addition to physical education classes, the Office for BUEB Sports places great emphasis on extra-curricular exercise, health-related activities, and competition-level activities that provide more opportunities not only for students, but also for employees.
The Office places special emphasis on athletes studying at the university, for whom we have developed a Leading Athletes Programme, thus helping them to achieve success in both their sport and in their studies.
Our office believes in the unifying and cohesive power of movement, which is why we organise events not only at the Faculty level, but also University-wide.
Thanks to the almost daily increase in student and staff activity, the selection is becoming more colorful and varied. Within the framework of physical education classes, our students can choose from many types of movement, as well as participate in national and international championships in several sports. Preparing for competitions in several sports is assisted by our colleagues, with their previous experience as competitors and/or coaches.
In addition to all this, it is possible to become involved in more and more self-organising activities and it is important to note that the development of our employees always receives special attention.
