Quality Management
As part of its strategic management, the University operates a Total Quality Management (TQM)-based quality management system, organising its activities in line with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015) criteria. The TQM-based quality management system focuses on student-centredness, the commitment of leadership and staff, and continuous improvement.
The aim of the University’s quality management system is to implement the objectives set out in the Quality Policy and the Mission Statement.
The University’s quality management activities are overseen by the Office of Education Co-ordination and Regulation, operating under the supervision of the Vice Rector for Education; within this office, the Senior Quality Management Expert is responsible for carrying out operational tasks related to quality management.
The principles and framework of the University’s quality management system are defined in the Quality Management Regulations, which apply to the University’s lecturers, researchers, teachers, and students, as well as employees involved in education, scientific research, and the fulfilment of the University’s tasks; additionally, they extend to external contributors engaged in educational, research, development, and service activities at the University.
The structure and relationships of the quality management organisation are illustrated in the organogram outlined in Annex 3 of the Quality Management Regulations.
To ensure the fulfilment of the University’s tasks at an appropriate quality level, the Quality Management and Assessment Committee was established to conduct regular monitoring of processes, eliminate sources of error, and develop the operational process system.
The University is a member of the Association for Excellence.
