During the semester, you should pay attention, not only to what is required of you, but also to what opportunities are open to you: there are various application opportunities that may provide you financial support or professional development. Application deadlines are very important: if you miss them, you can only re-apply in the next semester or academic year.
Various scholarships can typically be won through applications. (Although, this is not the case for study scholarships.) Even if you are not yet eligible to apply, you may want to check the terms and conditions and begin preparing for a successful application at a later date.
A separate group within the scholarships is the international mobility scholarships. In their case, the application period is at least one semester before disbursement, so you should definitely plan ahead.
In addition to scholarships, there are a number of other opportunities that you can take advantage of through applications or simply by applying. (There is always some kind of evaluation for applications, but usually, it is only the availability of places that may create a limit when applying.) They always offer some development opportunities, and, in many cases, come with a cash prize and a salary. Here are some examples:

- Demonstration work
- Study and professional competitions (organized by companies, professional organizations, institutions)
- Opportunity to participate in special events
