Following the amendment of the National Higher Education Act in 2022 (Act LIX of 2022 amending certain Acts related to higher education, vocational training and adult education), the existence of a language exam is no longer a condition for issuing a diploma. The Budapest University of Economics and Business introduced the legal provisions in its Student Requirement System and curricula, so the higher education institution will issue and hand over the diploma within 30 days from the date of a successful final exam.
At the same time, adequate language skills are still one of the basic conditions for a successful career. Therefore, we will continue to place great emphasis on the development of language skills in our courses. We also recommend taking a language exam as it can be a significant advantage in the case of job applications or further education plans.
At the university there is also a language exam centre, where you can take a language exam or apply for language course.
