Student Counselling
The Budapest University of Economics and Business is continuously developing its student counselling system to help you develop appropriate coping strategies for the difficulties and problems you may encounter, and to help you succeed in your studies and your career.

The following forms of counselling are currently available to students who are active students.

Mental health / psychological counselling

Mental health/psychological counselling may be needed if you are experiencing any kind of blockage, crisis or difficulty in your personal life, studies or work. Problems with family, relationships, time management, employment, career planning, learning - in short: life management problems.

If you would like to talk through your difficulties with someone and find a solution to your problem, contact our counsellors by e-mail. When applying, send your Neptun ID to the counsellor, and describe in a few sentences what kind of problem or difficulty you would like to consult, so it will be easier to prepare for your first meeting.

When applying, please write to your chosen counsellor in a few sentences about the problem you are facing, this will help them to prepare.

If you have thoughts of self-harm or suicide, are beginning to lose your sense of reality, or have a known mental illness that requires treatment and medication adjustment, visit the psychiatric care center in your district or, in case of crisis, the Adult Emergency Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic of Semmelweis University (1083 Budapest, Balassa Street 6.).

Equality and equity counselling

Equality and equity counselling may be necessary if you live with motor impairment or sensory disability, a developmental disorder, autism, or a chronic illness, and you would like to inquire about your rights and opportunities, or if you need help planning your life path or career.

If you are disadvantaged due to some protected characteristic (age, race, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, etc.), you can also apply for equality and equity counselling.
