BBS Secure Future call for applications for semester 2 of academic year 2022/2023
# ENG
# For students

Purpose of the call for applications

The purpose of the ‘Secure Future Scholarship’ is to provide financial support to talented Hungarian and foreign full-time students in self-funded undergraduate programmes in Hungarian and in foreign languages, if they have outstanding academic results, are professionally committed and take part in community work, too, for the completion of their studies. The scholarship can be granted through a call for applications, and it is financed from the own income of the institution. The grant may be provided for one semester following a closed semester, and the rate of the grant is 100%, 50% or 25% of the cost announced in the Prospectus on Admission to Higher Education (Felvi.hu) valid in the year of admission.

The dean determines the number of students who may win the scholarship on the basis of the available financial resources and the applications received.

Scope of applicants

Self-funded Hungarian and foreign students attending full-time undergraduate programmes in Hungarian and foreign languages in the fields of arts, economics and social sciences may apply, if their student status at the BBS was established in September 2012 or later.

The ‘Secure Future’ scholarship may be won through a call for applications, from the first active semester following enrolment, and the support may be provided for maximum one semester. Each student may submit a new application for the following semester.

The grant may be obtained with active student status only, and with the collection of at least 90% of all the credits specified in the sample curriculum of the given programme, in the proportion of the time.

Students not performing their studies according to the sample curriculum, exceeding the time of the programmes, and re-admitted to the University are not eligible to submit applications. Students whose student status was established before September 2012 at the BBS, and in September 2012 or later established a new student status in the same programme with a new admission procedure may not apply for the scholarship.

During a semester of internship, it is not possible to submit applications for the Secure Future scholarship.

Those students are eligible for the support whose corrected credit index in semester 2 of academic year 2022/2023 reaches the value of 3.5. In a given faculty, the dean may specify a higher minimum value on ad hoc basis.

Valid applications are ranked by the Evaluation Committee of the faculty, and based on that, the dean makes the decision about the granting of the scholarship. Applicants are informed about the result of the decision through the Modulo system, and the Education Centre will transfer the awarded grant in one amount to the student within 5 working days.

Deadline of assessing and deciding about the applications: 10 July 2023, 12.00 a.m.
