Purpose of the scholarship
The “BBU scholarship" aims to provide financial support to BBU students self-funding their tuition fees who have shown outstanding academic achievement but who are in need of financial support, in order to continue their studies. The scholarship is awarded through an application process, and it is financed from the University's own revenues or additional resources involved, according to the decision of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the BBU.
Eligible applicants
Full-time undergraduate Hungarian and foreign students self-funding their tuition fees are eligible for the scholarship who have at least two completed active semesters and an active student status.
Students are not eligible if they are beyond the standard duration of the degree program or if 25% of their total credits are recognized credits. The scholarship is not available for an internship semester.
The scholarship can be granted to students whose cumulative limited adjusted credit index is 3.5 or higher and who have at least 30 credits on average over the semester.
Content requirements of the application, documents to be submitted:
The application must be submitted in the Modulo system on the standard application form.
Eligible students may submit their applications electronically twice a year until the 3rd working day following the last working day of the exam period.
The scholarship may be granted for one semester after the completed semester, and the scholarship is 50% of the tuition fee stated in the Admission Notice (www.felvi.hu) for the year of admission, both for Hungarian and foreign students. The scholarship is paid in one lump sum.
Applications may be submitted from 8 January 2025, 12 noon to 29 January 2025 midnight.
The evaluation process and the ranking of the applications will be based on the cumulative limited adjusted credit index (max. 70 scores) and the student’s social situation (max. 30 scores), up to the budget available for the semester. The data on the student’s social situation can be submitted through the Modulo system, by filling in the "Social Situation Assessment Form” which can be found under the student forms.
The Student Services Directorate will review and rank the applications received with the assistance of the HTJB and will forward the ranking of the applicants to the Rector/Vice Rector for Education, for approval. Max. 10% of the scholarship is available for each degree program. The decision will be notified to the applicants in the Modulo system and the Neptun system, following which the Student Services Directorate will make the bank transfer to the students in a lump sum within 5 working days.
The deadline for notifying the applicants of the decision is 21 February 2025.
The deadline for paying the scholarship by bank transfer to the students’ bank account is 24 February 2025.
If there are missing documents in the application process, there is no subsequent possibility to remedy the deficiencies. Students may appeal against the decision through the Neptun system, in accordance with the rules of the Student Requirements System within 15 days of the Modulo notification.
