Dear Students!
According to our current plans, the 2021/2022 academic year at Budapest Business School will basically start with traditional classroom teaching in September but based on the experience of the last three semesters, we are also prepared to introduce possible restrictive measures quickly if necessary, maintaining the continuity of the semester and ensuring that our students can complete their registered subjects.
We would like to emphasize that a vaccination certificate is not required for visiting the university or attending classes, but for the sake of the community at large, we strongly recommend that you be properly vaccinated.
Additional Policies:
- Some courses will be held online (in general, lectures with over 50 people), but most of the courses will be taught in traditional classroom style with attendance. We are not planning to have online and classroom teaching to happen at the same time. Lecture and seminars are considered separate courses, so it may be the case that the lecture will be held online, and the seminars will be in the form of classroom teaching.
- The general rules of the Student Regulations Handbook (HKR) will apply to classroom attendance. Should you transition to online education during the semester, class attendance will apply to online attendance.
- The use of masks in the classrooms and on campus is currently not mandatory, but whoever feels more safe and secure wearing one, should feel free to do so.
- Currently there is no body temperature measurement at the entrance.
- A reasonable degree of “voluntary quarantine” is important: whoever feels sick or who has recently been in contact with someone who has since had symptoms, should be sure to avoid the community for a few days.
- Based on our current knowledge, we are preparing for a traditional (attendance) exam period.
You can find information about our other epidemiological measures that are still in force HERE.

We wish you a successful start to the school year!
Best regards,
