Short summary | Do you like challenges? Make the most of your creativity, choose an interesting topic and discover the joy of creative work and doing research with your peers. This course can be taken individually, without completing its first part. In the three days, you will receive all the help from the instructors and the guest former students who will give a look into the background of the process and show you various techniques. Students will get experience in the evaluation of data with the help of statistical softwares and in visualisation of findings. In the framework of cooperative work, the participants work on a smaller project task, e.g. in the topics of responsible behavior, sustainability, conscious lifestyle and other different fields; presenting their results to each other and discussing them. The 2 credit elective course will help you with this process, and you might get new ideas how to continue. Syllabus: • Methodological aspects of questionnaire compilation • Main practical applications of two- and multivariate statistical methods • Simple and useful arithmetic methods for analysing a questionnaire containing nominal data • Qualitative research 1: beyond questionnaires and interviews • Qualitative research 2: how to deal with qualitative data? Using of a qualitative data analysis software • Qualitative research 3: how to deal with qualitative data? Applying of casual diagrams and system mapping • Interpreting and visualising quantitative and qualitative research results |
