Rövid tartalom | " The modern business world, including the financial sector, heavily relies on data for decision-making. This course focuses on improving one's understanding of financial data modelling through practical exercises using Excel and real-life case studies from corporate and market data. The objective is to equip learners with strong analytical and technical abilities, which will benefit them in their future careers. Based on the above, the main object of the course is: To familiarize students with the framework of financial data analysis, including preparation of inputs, construction of models, and processing of analysis. 1. block of hours (4×45 minutes), Case study modelling in Excel Introduction • The concept and essence of financial modelling, • data science, the formation and development of modern practice, • overview of Excel, basics & features • The types of financial analysis. • Steps in creating a model. 2. block of hours (6×45 minutes), Case study modelling in Excel Financial statement modelling • Theory and concepts, reading of financial statements, Fundamental analysis. • Building financial statements model • Building financial indicators model • Building financial statement forecasting (pro forma) model 3. block of hours (6×45 minutes), Case study modelling in Excel Capital market modelling: • Theory and concepts: Financial data analysing in the capital market (Indexes), technical analysis techniques. • Analysing market history • Portfolio modelling • Estimating beta and the security market line. • Stocks valuation models • Bond valuation models The course needs home studying before the intensive week as well, based on the reading material to be downloaded from the Coospace scene. " |
