Short summary | The students will get acquainted with and practice skills and competencies necessary to complete their university education. They will be able to navigate the cultural context of the university and reflect on differences between Hungary and their own culture. They will acquire university methods of collecting, processing, selecting and reporting information, they will be able to use university materials throughout their autonomous learning process. Students will be able to describe cultural dimensions along which cultures differ, and reflect on how those differences manifest in their lives and how to handle them. Students will also acquire basic presentation and group functioning skills, fundamentals of academic writing, study techniques and time management. |

Assessment methods | Course completion requires active participation. The course ends with a group test where students discuss the given topics and then write the answers based on the group discussion. |
